Following the reorganization, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment has been reduced to 7 sub-departments.

On the morning of September 16th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment (NN-MT) held a conference to announce decisions on personnel matters, aiming to streamline the organizational structure and arrange personnel in a more efficient manner.

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Toan Thang presented the decisions.

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Nguyen Toan Thang, presented appointment decisions to the leaders of the subordinate sub-departments and administrative organizations, including: the Forestry Sub-department; the Irrigation Sub-department; the Fisheries and Fisheries Inspection Sub-department; the Rural Development Sub-department; the Crop Production and Plant Protection Sub-department; the Livestock and Veterinary Sub-department; the Environmental Protection Sub-department; and the Office for Coordinating the New Rural Development Program.

After the reorganization, the number of units under the Department decreased from 17 sub-departments and 3 administrative organizations to 7 sub-departments and 1 administrative organization, a reduction of 12 sub-departments and 2 administrative organizations (equivalent to a reduction of approximately 60%).

Assessing this as an important step in building a modern administrative system, Director Nguyen Toan Thang affirmed that the restructuring not only demonstrates the close attention and guidance of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People's Committee, but also acknowledges and trusts the leadership and management team of the sector.

He emphasized that the newly appointed officials all possess strong political convictions, good moral character, high professional qualifications, and have been trained through practical work experience.
