The People's Committee of Quới Thiện commune mobilized approximately 30 people, including police, military personnel , and residents of Phước Lý Nhì hamlet, along with mechanical equipment, to temporarily reinforce the breached dike.

By the morning of October 25th, the filling of sandbags and the construction of temporary embankments were basically completed, helping to limit water flooding into the orchard area.
Previously, on October 23, a 15-meter section of the Con Thanh Long dike broke, flooding 15 hectares of fruit orchards (durian, rambutan, and longan) that were in their fruiting season; the daily lives and transportation of many households in the area were also affected.

The cause was high tides combined with heavy rainfall over several days, which increased water pressure, causing landslides and breaches in weak sections of the dike.
Local authorities also advised residents to proactively reinforce embankments and dams, closely monitor tidal levels, and immediately report any signs of erosion to the authorities.
