After more than a year under special supervision, SCB has urgently and actively coordinated with relevant functional units of the State Bank of Vietnam, ministries, sectors, and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City to actively implement solutions in accordance with the law to ensure the safety of the banking system and protect the rights and interests of depositors. To date, SCB's operations are gradually stabilizing, gradually addressing difficulties and obstacles, and focusing on developing a restructuring plan.
Representatives from the Personnel Department of the State Bank of Vietnam announced decisions regarding the SCB Board of Directors. In accordance with operational requirements, the State Bank of Vietnam decided to revoke Mr. Vu Anh Duc's appointment to the SCB Board of Directors. Consequently, Mr. Vu Anh Duc ceased to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and was reassigned to a position at VietinBank .
Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Dao Minh Tu, presented the decision to appoint Mr. Phan Dinh Dien as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCB.
After reviewing and evaluating the capabilities of the staff, the State Bank of Vietnam has decided to appoint Mr. Phan Dinh Dien, who is no longer a member of the Board of Directors of Agribank, to assume the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCB, replacing Mr. Vu Anh Duc, effective September 22nd.
Mr. Phan Dinh Dien has 30 years of experience in the banking sector, having held leadership positions from department head and branch manager to member of the Board of Directors of Agribank. Throughout this career, Mr. Phan Dinh Dien has always demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and consistently performed his duties well, possessing strong management and leadership skills, and particularly extensive experience in debt recovery.
