In Sang village, Thiet Ong commune, the family of 41-year-old Pham Van Pien unfortunately suffered from a serious illness and passed away after borrowing money and participating in BATD insurance at Agribank Ba Thuoc. Mr. Pien's wife said: "My husband unfortunately contracted a serious illness. I lost a loved one, a pillar of the family, and that pain is too great for me. Not only that, during my husband's illness, the high treatment costs, coupled with the worry about the over 200 million VND loan from Agribank Ba Thuoc for economic development, weighed heavily on my shoulders, causing me constant anxiety. My husband is gone, and the debt remains. Where will I get the money to repay the bank loan? Where will my children get the money for their education? Then, recently, Agribank Ba Thuoc informed me that they paid off my husband's entire insured loan – an insurance policy he had taken out without telling the family. Thanks to this insurance, I don't have to repay the bank loan anymore; ABIC Thanh Hoa will pay the bank loan and a portion of the interest on behalf of my husband. Now I can work with peace of mind to support my two children who are still in school."

In 2025, ABIC Thanh Hoa settled insurance claims for 7,374 customers, with a total compensation amount of nearly 63.4 billion VND. Of this, BATD insurance alone accounted for 592 cases, totaling nearly 44.2 billion VND. To achieve these results, guided by a community-oriented approach and aiming to provide peace of mind and a solid foundation for insured customers against risks to life, health, and loan repayment, Agribank branches throughout the province have proactively promoted and introduced BATD products to customers. At Agribank, customers receive advice on accessing capital and on participating in insurance for themselves and their loans with the bank. During the loan application process, in addition to providing guidance, each insurance consultant assists customers in completing the required documents and procedures. Credit officers introduce and advise customers on participating in BATD products. Most customers, once they understand the benefits of the product, choose to purchase insurance for part or all of their bank loan. Many families, thanks to participating in insurance, have had their loans, amounting to hundreds of millions of dong, settled when risks occur. This provides peace of mind for insured borrowers, as they always have the necessary financial resources to cope with life's risks.
