Naval Squadron 128 has implemented numerous activities to support fishermen in venturing out to sea and maintaining their livelihoods.

Continuing the program "The Vietnamese Navy as a support for fishermen to venture out to sea and maintain their livelihoods," from December 15th to 16th, in Ngoc Son ward, Thanh Hoa province, Naval Squadron 128, in coordination with the Department of Marine and Fisheries, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Hoa province, organized many practical and meaningful activities.

Naval Squadron 128 has implemented numerous activities to support fishermen in venturing out to sea and maintaining their livelihoods.

Representatives from Naval Squadron 128, the Department of Marine and Fisheries, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Hoa province presented the national flag and life jackets to fishermen.

The units organized meetings to inform and educate fishermen about the sea and islands, the position and role of Vietnam's sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense; the recent situation of national defense and security in Vietnam's maritime areas; conveyed the content of agreements on maritime boundary delimitation between Vietnam and countries in the region; legal documents on the sea and the exploitation of aquatic resources; and provided information on the locations of naval docks serving to ensure logistics and technical support, as well as communication frequencies to be ready to assist fishermen when operating at sea.

At the same time, encourage fishermen to participate in safe, sustainable, and lawful fishing practices that protect the environment and combat illegal fishing.

Naval Squadron 128 has implemented numerous activities to support fishermen in venturing out to sea and maintaining their livelihoods.

Donating first-aid kits and life jackets to fishermen at Hai Chau Fishing Port.

On this occasion, Naval Squadron 128 presented 150 national flags and 15 life jackets to fishermen, and awarded 150 gifts (worth 30 million VND) to exemplary fishermen for their offshore fishing activities; they also distributed over 150 leaflets and documents on essential information for fishermen on responsible and legal fishing practices for a sustainable fisheries industry.

Medical officers from the Naval Medical Corps organized health check-ups, consultations, and provided free medicine to nearly 100 fishermen at Hai Chau Fishing Port.

Naval Squadron 128 has implemented numerous activities to support fishermen in venturing out to sea and maintaining their livelihoods.

The naval medical unit provided free health checkups and medication to fishermen.

In addition, the Naval Squadron organized the handover of funds to support the construction, upgrading, and renovation of the road in Tay Xuan Vi village, Hoang Thanh commune, Thanh Hoa province, with an amount of 80 million VND.

These activities aim to contribute to improving the material and cultural lives of the people; and to build a stronger and more developed locality.

The Commander of the Naval Squadron presented the funding to support the new rural development project.
