Sources from South Korea indicate that Samsung may launch a smartphone with a triple-folding screen in 2025, but the exact date remains unclear. The launch time will depend on the company's foldable device division, Mobile eXperience.
Reportedly, Samsung hasn't announced the product yet because it wants to focus on reducing the thickness and lightness of current foldable smartphones.
Sources reveal that Samsung's OLED display orders have decreased by 10% compared to plan due to reduced consumer demand. The total number of panels for foldable smartphones is 12 million (a decrease of nearly 40% compared to the previous year).
Many analysts predicted Samsung could boost sales by launching a low-cost foldable phone. However, a company executive stated that they have no such intention.
Most recently, the Chinese phone brand Huawei launched its triple-folding smartphone, the Mate XT, in mid-September with a price tag of $2,800.
