Will establish an Influencer Alliance in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - In the context of strong digital transformation, influencers (KOL/KOC) have become a powerful media force, shaping consumer trends, lifestyles and social views.

An alliance dedicated to key opinion leaders (KOLs) will officially launch in Vietnam next August, within the framework of the first national KOL Conference.

This move aims to promote the positive role of KOLs and limit risks from spreading false information, harmful content or advertising poor quality products.

The above information was announced at the seminar "Building digital trust" organized by the National Cyber Security Association (NCA) on the afternoon of July 28.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, representative of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05 - Ministry of Public Security ), said that Department A05 has coordinated with the National Cyber Security Association to launch three key initiatives.

In particular, establishing a strong alliance of prestigious and influential KOLs to lead specific initiatives and solutions is one of the top priorities.

This alliance will bring together KOLs with positive social influence to promote public opinion, fight against misinformation, spread digital safety skills and implement community projects, especially against fake news and online scams.

The main goal is to build trust, spread positive and sustainable values, and at the same time warn and criticize deviant trends and phenomena of KOLs in cyberspace. The alliance will operate on a voluntary and consensual basis with diverse components.

The National KOL Conference and the launch of the Vietnam KOL Alliance are expected to become an "open round table" between KOLs, management agencies, digital platform businesses and the community. This is to promote a wave of responsible influence, contributing to shaping a civilized, safe and sustainable digital Vietnam.

In addition to the establishment of the alliance, an action program to promote responsible influence of KOLs through community rules and standards, promoting transparency and voluntary self-control will also be launched.

The representative of Department A05 emphasized that influencers with strong influence need to become a pioneering force accompanying the State in maintaining social order and safety in the digital environment.

Department A05 is ready to accompany organizations, businesses and the KOL community to promote practical initiatives, enhance the role and positive contributions of KOLs to the country's development.
