According to a report by the World Bank (WB), technological innovation contributed more than 50% to Vietnam's overall economic growth in the 2016-2020 period. In particular, Vietnam's global innovation index (GII) has continuously improved, rising 32 places since 2013 and currently ranking 44th out of 132 countries and territories.

Innovation is increasingly focused on and considered the core for promoting economic development of each country. Therefore, the banking industry is also constantly innovating, contributing to the formation of a digital economy.
