The 2018 GeneralEducation Program marks an important step forward by allowing the use of multiple sets of textbooks in teaching. This is a breakthrough change, helping teachers to choose materials that are suitable for the psychological characteristics, level and learning needs of students, thereby contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in a more flexible and practical way.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong (Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi), her family currently has two children studying at Thang Long Primary School: one student is in grade 5, the other is in grade 4. In the process of accompanying her children in studying at home, she has the opportunity to directly access and compare the current textbooks. From practical experience, Ms. Huong highly appreciates the Canh Dieu textbooks, which are currently being used in her daughter's 4th grade curriculum.

Thanks to that, my child not only remembers the lessons better but also has the opportunity to practice presentation skills, reasoning and logical thinking, "said Ms. Huong.
If in the past, textbooks were often in a state of "scarcity" or "out of stock" at the beginning of each school year, causing many parents to worry, now accessing books has become much more convenient.
Thanks to the policy of socialization and diversification of supply sources, parents can easily find textbooks at bookstores, supermarkets, online stores or directly at schools with full options for each set and each grade.
Socialization of textbooks is the right policy.
The implementation of the policy of socializing textbooks in the spirit of "one program - many sets of books" has gradually received consensus from the majority of parents. No longer limited to the framework of a single set of books, parents can now proactively research, compare, give opinions to the school and choose the set of books that suit their children's learning needs and receptive abilities.
According to Ms. Huong, socializing textbooks is not just a matter of having many sets of books, but a new approach that puts learners at the center and empowers both teachers and parents to choose.
“Each child has a different way of receiving. A suitable set of books will help children learn easier, remember longer and especially love learning. From practical experience, socializing textbooks not only improves the quality of teaching but also contributes to strengthening the connection between school and family. When parents are involved in choosing books, I also have a higher awareness in accompanying my children. Education will no longer be the sole responsibility of teachers but a common journey of both family and school,” Ms. Huong emphasized.
Sharing the same view, Mr. Bui Vinh said that the implementation of the policy of socializing textbooks has brought richness and diversity to the general education materials market. The appearance of many different sets of books not only creates favorable conditions for teachers and parents to compare and choose, but also expands the approach to teaching content in a flexible and appropriate way for each student and each region.
Instead of using a uniform set of books as before, teachers and schools can now proactively consider learning materials that are close to the learners’ abilities and actual teaching conditions in the locality. This contributes to promoting innovation in teaching methods, helping students approach knowledge from many different perspectives, thereby improving the effectiveness of acquisition and developing comprehensive abilities.
