The show 'Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles' brings Yeah1 huge profits, CEO receives a salary of 2 billion VND.

In the first nine months of this year, Ms. Ngo Thi Van Hanh, CEO of Yeah1, received a salary of 2 billion VND, a significant increase compared to the same period last year.

The recently released third-quarter financial report of Yeah1 Group Joint Stock Company (YEG) reveals that the salary paid to General Director Ngo Thi Van Hanh was 2 billion VND, a 33% increase compared to the same period last year.

Thus, on average, Ms. Hanh receives over 220 million VND per month. This is also the highest income that the YEG boss has received, according to publicly available information in the report.

Within the board of directors, Mr. Che Doan Vien, the deputy general director, received a salary of over 1.05 billion VND in the first nine months, a 49% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, Mr. Pham Minh Tien, another deputy general director, received a salary of 300 million VND.

Many other leaders at YEG, including Chairwoman Le Phuong Thao and Vice Chairman Nguyen Hoang Giang, did not receive any remuneration during the period.

Regarding business performance, YEG's revenue in the third quarter reached 345 billion VND, more than three times higher than the same period last year, amidst the broadcast and significant reach of the television program "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles".

Yeah1 is currently the sole entity holding the production rights for this program in Vietnam.

After deducting the cost of goods sold (265 billion VND), YEG recorded a gross profit of 79 billion VND, an increase of nearly 3.6 times. Furthermore, financial income during this period also increased from over 10 billion VND to 24.5 billion VND.

As a result, despite increased costs, YEG still reported a net profit of VND 34.3 billion, nearly 11 times higher than the same period last year. This is also the highest profit level since 2022.

In the first nine months of this year, YEG generated nearly 630 billion VND in revenue, approximately 2.5 times higher than the same period last year. Net profit after tax reached 55.7 billion VND, 4.5 times higher than the same period last year.

At this year's annual general meeting of shareholders, Ms. Ngo Thi Van Hanh - CEO of YEG - stated that the company organizes many programs and attracts many artists to participate.

Ms. Hanh cited the example of the program "Beautiful Women Riding the Waves," which worked with 30 female artists. Along with "Brothers Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles," YEG also had 33 male artists participating.

The financial report also shows that, in terms of revenue structure, advertising and media consulting brought in the most money for YEG with 560 billion VND, more than three times higher than the first nine months of last year.

Regarding the share price, on the market, each YEG share is trading at around 9,700 VND, down more than 5% in the past week.
