On July 7th, Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang – Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers – along with the Standing Committee of the Phu Yen Provincial Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, visited and encouraged the student volunteer team of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education and soldiers of the Phu Yen Provincial Military Command stationed in Xuan Quang 1 commune (Dong Xuan district, Phu Yen province) during the Green Summer volunteer program.
According to a report from the student volunteer team of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, the university's Green Summer campaign took place from July 1st to July 24th with 50 volunteers.
The team will carry out many meaningful projects and tasks in the area where they are stationed, such as constructing lighting systems for rural roads and national flag-lined streets, and organizing breakfast for children in mountainous regions…
Most notably, the team collaborated with the People's Committee of Xuan Quang 1 commune and 70 soldiers from the Provincial Military Command, along with youth union members from the commune, to install a gravity-fed water system from Vuc Tron to the villages of the commune to serve the daily needs of the local people.
The project, spanning over 8km, had a total investment of approximately 1 billion VND.
Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, along with members of the delegation, visited and inquired about the health and encouraged the spirit of the student volunteers.

Ms. Trang emphasized that the installation of a gravity-fed water system from Vuc Tron is a project of significant social importance, contributing to alleviating hardship and improving the lives of people in this mountainous commune which still faces many difficulties.
"Therefore, the volunteer soldiers need to leverage their youthful energy and actively coordinate with local forces to urgently implement and complete this project," Ms. Trang said.
Ms. Trang hopes that through this campaign, the volunteer soldiers will gain more practical lessons and widely spread the positive images of the Green Summer campaign to the community.
