Learning from experience from previous years, on the occasion of Tet 2025, people proactively brought their vehicles to Bac Lieu Registration Branch for inspection, limiting prolonged congestion.

On January 20, Mr. Ho Van Tha, Head of Bac Lieu Vehicle Inspection Branch (under Vehicle Inspection Sub-Department No. 17) said that currently, at the branch, there are about 50 - 60 vehicles coming to register road motor vehicles every day.

Inspectors of Bac Lieu Registration Branch perform motor vehicle inspection procedures.

The number of vehicles has increased since the beginning of October 2024 until now. It is forecasted that in the coming days, the number of vehicles coming for inspection will increase slightly by about 10 - 15%, the number of vehicle inspections per day will increase by 60 - 70 times.

Currently, this inspection branch only has four inspectors who take turns working from morning to 5:30 pm every day. When there are many vehicles arriving, the unit works on Saturdays and Sundays to try to process all the documents.

"We are working with determination, as quickly as possible and especially not allowing vehicles to be stuck or congested for a long time at the unit, helping people and businesses feel secure in traveling and transporting goods during the Lunar New Year 2025," Mr. Tha added.

Near Tet, many vehicles come for inspection, inspectors have to work continuously, even on Saturdays and Sundays to process all the documents.

According to Mr. Tha, learning from the experience of long traffic jams in previous years, people and businesses have become more aware and are afraid of being fined, so they proactively take their vehicles for inspection in advance, without necessarily having to wait until the inspection expires to take their vehicles for inspection. Therefore, congestion has been limited.

In addition, the unit also proactively arranges and requires vehicle owners who have not yet had their turn for vehicle inspection to move their vehicles to suitable locations to park, and not to park in long lines waiting.

Mr. Tran Minh Luan (residing in Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province) shared that his 7-seat car's registration will expire on February 5, 2025, but because he had free time, he proactively took the car to be registered before the deadline.

"I registered in advance to limit the long traffic jams, and avoid having to wait for a long time like every year. Moreover, now that I have time, I can go to work right away. When the deadline comes, I will be busy with work and cannot register, making it difficult to travel," Mr. Luan added.
