Department of Education and Training ranked last in DDCI index

On October 28, information from the People's Committee of Thai Binh province said that yesterday afternoon (October 27), Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a conference to announce the results of implementing the set of competitiveness indexes at the department, branch, district and city levels of Thai Binh province (DDCI index) in 2023 on a technology platform.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, chaired the conference.

This is the third year that Thai Binh province has implemented the DDCI assessment survey and the first year that the province has implemented the DDCI survey on a digital technology platform through specialized software, ensuring absolute accuracy, objectivity and transparency.

The 2023 Provincial DDCI Index was assigned by the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee to the Provincial Business Association and the consulting unit to coordinate with the consulting unit to screen input business data with 3,500 survey samples. The survey collected 1,422 evaluation forms for 29 surveyed units including 21 departments and branches and 8 districts and cities. Accordingly, businesses scored and evaluated the level of satisfaction with the economic management activities of departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts and cities.

At the bottom of the DDCI competitiveness index ranking of departments and sectors is the Department of Education and Training with 29.30 points.

Departments and branches are evaluated based on 8 component indexes including: transparency, dynamism, time costs, informal costs, fair competition, business support, legal institutions, and the role of the leader. Districts and cities are evaluated by 9 component indexes, including 8 component indexes at the department and branch levels, plus the index of businesses' convenience and ease in accessing premises for production and business.

At the conference, the consulting unit announced detailed survey results and analyzed each component index of the scoring of departments, districts and cities.

The results of the DDCI index in 2023, for the local block, ranked first is Thai Binh city with 83.99 points, ranked second is Kien Xuong district, ranked third is Hung Ha district. Next are the districts: Thai Thuy, Vu Thu, Quynh Phu, Tien Hai and Dong Hung.

For the block of departments, branches and sectors: Department of Construction leads the ranking with 74.9 points; ranked second is Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs with 76.72 points; ranked third is Provincial Police with 76.67 points; ranked last is Department of Education and Training with 29.30 points.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province requested departments, branches and localities to continue to raise awareness and sense of responsibility, clearly identify the meaning and importance of the DDCI Index in performing tasks.
