The Department of Education and Training ranked last in the DDCI index.

On October 28th, information from the People's Committee of Thai Binh province indicated that yesterday afternoon (October 27th), Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the People's Committee of the province, chaired a conference to announce the results of the implementation of the Provincial Department, Sector, District, and City Competitiveness Index (DDCI index) for 2023 on a technology platform.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, presided over the conference.

This is the third year that Thai Binh province has conducted the DDCI assessment survey, and the first year the province has implemented the DDCI survey on a digital platform using specialized software, ensuring absolute accuracy, objectivity, and transparency.

The 2023 Provincial DDCI Index was assigned by the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee to the Provincial Business Association and a consulting unit to coordinate with the consulting unit in screening input business data from 3,500 survey samples. The survey collected 1,422 evaluation forms from 29 surveyed units, including 21 departments and agencies and 8 districts and cities. Accordingly, businesses rated their satisfaction level with the economic management activities of the departments, agencies, and People's Committees of the districts and cities.

At the bottom of the DDCI competitiveness index ranking for departments and sectors is the Department of Education and Training with 29.30 points.

Departments and agencies are evaluated based on eight component indicators: transparency, dynamism, time costs, informal costs, fair competition, business support, legal framework, and the role of the leader. Districts and cities are evaluated by nine component indicators, including eight indicators similar to those of departments and agencies, plus an indicator for ease and convenience for businesses in accessing land for production and business.

At the conference, the consulting firm announced detailed survey results and analysis of each component indicator used in scoring the departments, districts, and cities.

According to the 2023 DDCI index results for localities, Thai Binh City ranked first with 83.99 points, followed by Kien Xuong District in second place, and Hung Ha District in third. The districts that followed were Thai Thuy, Vu Thu, Quynh Phu, Tien Hai, and Dong Hung.

For departments and agencies: the Department of Construction leads the ranking with 74.9 points; followed by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs with 76.72 points; the Provincial Police Department in third place with 76.67 points; and the Department of Education and Training at the bottom of the list with 29.30 points.

Thai Binh City topped the rankings with 83.99 points.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province requested that departments, agencies, and localities continue to raise awareness and sense of responsibility, clearly defining the meaning and importance of the DDCI index in carrying out their tasks.
