The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will not host congratulatory delegations and will not accept congratulatory flowers at the agency's headquarters on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, this is to implement the Directives and Resolutions of the Party and State on practicing thrift and combating waste.
For many years now, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has issued a document stating that it does not accept flowers, gifts, or guests, but instead wishes to receive electronic greeting cards on the occasion of November 20. In previous years, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the email address to receive electronic greeting cards, but this year it did not.
The leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City also said that this will be the most meaningful gift for the staff, experts and employees of the Department of Education and Training in the spirit of friendship and thrift.
