In the entire province, 1,944 out of 1,944 fishing vessels with a length of 15 meters or more that are currently operating have installed VMS equipment, reaching 100% (in addition, there is 1 fishing vessel under 15 meters in length operating with a flying trawl that has installed VMS equipment and is updated on the National Fishing Vessel Monitoring System).

There are 14 fishing vessels that have not yet installed VMS, including: 13 vessels that have ceased operations due to damage, being docked, enforcement of judgments, civil disputes, and 1 vessel that was sold outside the province many years ago and has no information; the province has reported the vessel as missing (in the case of the fishing vessel with registration number BTh-94898-TS, owned by Nguyen Trung, residing in Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong district, which was sold to Ba Ria - Vung Tau province more than 5 years ago. Provincial authorities have worked with the owner but could not provide information about the buyer and the current status of the vessel is unknown). The vessels docked have been listed by the authorities for close management and monitoring, with specific information on their current mooring locations and contact phone numbers for necessary assistance.

100% of fishing vessels 15m or longer currently in operation have installed VMS equipment.

To facilitate the installation of VMS (Vehicle Monitoring System) by fishermen, the Provincial People's Council issued a Resolution supporting fishermen in installing vessel monitoring equipment. To date, financial support has been provided to 1,388 fishing vessels totaling 13,880 million VND (at a rate of 10 million VND per device). In addition, the management and operation of the vessel monitoring system have been seriously implemented by relevant units, processing information promptly and effectively in monitoring and preventing fishing vessels from violating foreign waters.

Since the beginning of the year, 32 fishing vessels that crossed the maritime boundary have been detected and promptly called back to Vietnamese waters, and hundreds of fishing vessels that lost VMS connectivity at sea have been warned and reminded. Regarding the handling of 5 incidents involving 4 fishing vessels (24 meters or longer) that lost connectivity for more than 10 days, as requested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development : Upon review, 1 vessel lost connectivity at port; 2 vessels did not fall under the category of vessels losing connectivity at sea for more than 10 days (they returned to shore before 10 days); and 2 vessels that did lose connectivity at sea for more than 10 days were processed and penalized according to regulations (BTh 95059 TS; BTh 97222 TS).
