Born in 1979 in Ho Chi Minh City, Hua Vi Van entered the entertainment industry as a model before venturing into singing. However, it was in film and television that he truly found his place. With his boyish good looks, elegant demeanor, and warm, deep voice, Hua Vi Van quickly became a suitable choice for roles of mature, profound men with complex inner lives.
The actor is a sought-after face in many film projects such as: "Passion", "Crossroads of Destiny", "The Boy That Year", "You Are My Grandma", "Idol", "Saigon Love Story", "Run Away and Then Figure It Out", "The Conspiracy of High Heels", "My Wife's Husband", "Blood Moon Party", "You and Trinh", "Southern Forest Land"...

In addition, Hua Wei Wen is also an actor in many television dramas such as: "The Oath of the Cape", " Fashion Company", "Crystal Love", "The Time-Traveling Guy", "Eva's Confession", "Sowing the Wind", "Grand Tutor Tran Thu Do", "Pink Dress on the 24th Floor", "Angel Mask", "Fire Files", "Crocodile Farm"... Besides that, he is also a singer and MC of many popular programs.
Although he's not the type of actor who performs with explosive flair or flashy techniques, he scores points thanks to his restraint and genuine emotions. It is this elegant image that has earned him affectionate titles from the audience such as "heartthrob" and "gentleman of Vietnamese cinema".

But for Hua Wei Wen, that wasn't entirely a pleasant compliment. The actor admitted that the title had unintentionally become a major obstacle in his career. Directors often looked at his everyday image to tailor roles to him that were glamorous, safe, and lacked breakthroughs. For a long time, the scripts he received almost exclusively revolved around the image of a refined, kind man.
Sharing on the recently aired "Sao Check" program, Hua Wei Wen revealed that, to avoid being stuck in a single image, he decided to reject the types of roles that had previously made him famous. "I've completely rejected 'prince charming' roles for the past 10 years and accepted starting over with more edgy characters, even supporting roles, small roles, or characters with old, unattractive appearances," the actor confided.

Following the success of " Southern Forest Land," Hua Wei Wen almost disappeared from the big screen for two years. Despite receiving many offers from directors and producers, he decided to decline because he felt the new scripts weren't compelling enough and lacked the distinctiveness of his previous roles. This silence only truly ended when he read the script for " Red Rain," playing military doctor Le – a character with few lines or screen time, but who left a strong impression due to his emotional depth and silent sacrifice.

After " Red Rain," Hua Wei Wen continued to show a clear shift in his acting direction when he played Nguyen Thanh in the film " Dedication." - a character modeled after the Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thieu Gioc. This transformation demonstrates that he is entering the most exciting phase of his career, where an actor is no longer dependent on appearance or idol appeal, but is recognized for his acting prowess and ability to create depth in a character.

The actor hopes that by observing his film choices, his team selections, and his decisions on which projects to participate in, young people will gain a clear direction. From there, those new to the profession will have a better foundation to make informed and sustainable choices for their careers.
The current Hứa Vĩ Văn no longer chases for glamorous titles; he chooses to stand by the core values of acting so that audiences will remember him as a true artist.
