TPO - The "Safe Fire Prevention and Fighting Neighborhood Group" competition in Nghe An province in 2024 created a platform for households to interact and improve their fire prevention, fighting, and rescue skills.

On May 23rd, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized the 2024 Firefighting and Rescue Skills Competition for "Safe Neighborhood Fire Prevention and Control Teams". Twenty-one teams, representing 21 districts, cities, and towns throughout the province, participated in the competition.

The competing teams had to go through two rounds of competition: a theoretical test and a practical test. In the practical test, teams competed based on the time taken to complete each task. Each team consisted of 8 male and female members. Of these, 6 participated in the competition, and 2 were victims in a simulated fire that occurred in a locked house.

Following the starting signal, the team members quickly ran to the location containing fire-fighting equipment, pressed the fire alarm, and used bolt cutters to break the lock on the burning house. At the time of the fire, there were two victims inside the house. The teams' mission was to extinguish the fire, rescue people, and save property.

Along with controlling the fire, rescue efforts were also quickly launched.

The competing teams demonstrated teamwork and mutual support with smooth and skillful handling of the situations.

The audience cheered and applauded the competing teams.

After two exciting rounds of competition, the Hung Nguyen district team excellently won first place overall. With this result, Hung Nguyen district will represent Nghe An province in the regional competition with 14 provinces and cities nationwide.
