Son Heung Min scored a hat-trick to help Los Angeles FC crush their opponents

Former Tottenham captain Son Heung Min had a brilliant day, scoring a hat-trick to help Los Angeles FC win convincingly against their opponents.

On the morning of September 18, Los Angeles FC traveled to Real Salt Lake's home field in round 19 of MLS 2025. Coach Steven Cherundolo's team, led by superstar Son Heung Min, destroyed their opponent 4-1 on the away field.

Relying on superior personnel, Los Angeles FC proactively pushed up their formation and overwhelmed their opponents from the first minutes. Real Salt Lake encountered more difficulties when the away team quickly scored the opening goal.

In the 3rd minute, from a midfield dispute, a Los Angeles FC player made a pass to Son Heung Min. The Korean star immediately accelerated, dribbled the ball into the penalty area and then fired a shot past the opposing goalkeeper.

In an attacking situation in the 16th minute, the former Tottenham captain created a superb long-range shot before the helpless goalkeeper Rafael Cabral. The goal helped Los Angeles FC double the gap against the home team.

In the second half, Real Salt Lake played better and scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-2 thanks to Zavier Gozo. However, the Korean star showed his class to his opponent when completing his hat trick in the 82nd minute.

Before the match ended, Denis Bouanga managed to add his name to the scoresheet in the 88th minute. This goal also sealed the 4-1 victory for coach Steven Cherundolo's team.

After the match, Son Heung received the best player award and was given a score of 9.6 by Sofascore. This was the 4th consecutive match the Korean star scored, including the international series with the Korean team.
