Son Heung-min asked to erase the red card for Bui Hoang Viet Anh

" Son Heung-min asked the referee to remove the red card for Bui Hoang Viet Anh. He thinks the Vietnamese national team defender did not deserve a red card ," a member of the Vietnamese national team confirmed to VTC News.

The situation that caused Bui Hoang Viet Anh to receive a red card happened in the 61st minute, right when the Vietnamese team kicked off after conceding the fourth goal. Viet Anh controlled the ball incorrectly, but he quickly corrected his mistake with a cut-off.

Son Heung-min charged in at high speed to put pressure on the Vietnamese defender. Bui Hoang Viet Anh's clearance sent the ball hitting Son Heung-min and bouncing away. The Korean star continued his momentum and collided with Viet Anh's supporting leg.

Viet Anh received a red card unjustly.

Malaysian referee Mohd Amirul Izwan Bin Yaacob determined that Bui Hoang Viet Anh had committed a foul and showed him a red card.
