Lam Dong officially commences construction of Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway.

On the morning of December 19th, Lam Dong province solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tan Phu (Dong Nai) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway project under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Major General Tran Chi Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, and other delegates attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway.

Representing the central government at the ceremony was Major General Tran Chi Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7.

On the local side, attendees included members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, leaders of departments, agencies, and localities, and a large number of people.

Leaders of Lam Dong province and representatives from various departments and agencies attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The Tan Phu ( Dong Nai ) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway construction project was approved by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee in June 2025.

This is a Group A project, a Class I road standard, with a design speed of 80 km/hour, implemented under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The route is approximately 66km long, including about 12km in Dong Nai province and nearly 54km in Lam Dong province.

Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. has been selected by Lam Dong province as the investor to implement the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway project. The total investment is VND 14,475 billion, with an expected construction time of 25 months, completion on December 31, 2027, and a toll collection period of 23 years and 9 months.

The project commenced amidst the joyous atmosphere celebrating the successful conclusion of the First Congress of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, achieving the highest possible results to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party. Chairman of Son Hai Group, Nguyen Viet Hai, expressed his determination to construct, complete, and put the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway on schedule.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Chairman of Son Hai Group, affirmed: The contractor will uphold a high sense of responsibility and mobilize all available human resources, materials, machinery, and equipment.

The construction of the expressway will be organized scientifically , strictly adhering to regulations on technical quality, labor safety, and environmental hygiene. The investor is determined to complete and put the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway into operation on schedule.

Local residents whose land is located within the highway project area attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep emphasized that the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway is a key transportation project of special importance to Lam Dong and the region. It is a backbone road connecting Lam Dong with other provinces in the key economic zone.

The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway will contribute to shortening travel time, reducing congestion on National Highway 20, and addressing traffic accident hotspots, especially in the Bao Loc Pass area. The expressway will open up new development opportunities, promote investment attraction, and create momentum for socio-economic development.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep expressed gratitude for the attention from the central and local governments and various units, which contributed to the expressway's commencement on schedule.

The project also demonstrates Lam Dong's determination to implement a strategic breakthrough in transportation, contributing to the goal of having approximately 5,000km of expressways nationwide by 2030.

The commencement of the expressway project will gradually complete the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, realizing the dreams and expectations of many generations of leaders, government officials, and people of Lam Dong province.

The contractor's machinery is concentrated on the construction site in preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway.

Today's groundbreaking ceremony also marks the beginning of a new journey with many important tasks for Lam Dong province. The Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requests that all departments, agencies, and localities work together to ensure the project is implemented on schedule, with guaranteed quality, safety, and efficiency.
