He then went on to say that the Japanese console manufacturer is currently working actively on a new PlayStation 2 emulator.

Although he doesn't have a long track record of reliably revealing leaked information, this is still good news for fans of classic Sony games. Furthermore, while this YouTuber doesn't frequently post leaks, it's highly likely he gathered information from within Sony to make this claim.

Ultimately, Sony has been offering classic games on its PlayStation Plus service for the past few years, using it as a way to bring older games to users. However, the service recently unexpectedly increased prices without offering any additional benefits to users.
