Sports Festival 2025 is a series of activities organized by the CAND Sports Association in collaboration with NovaGroup at NovaWorld Phan Thiet including sports: Golf, shooting, cross-country running, boxing, tennis, pickleball...
On August 21, the Organizing Committee of Sports Festival 2025 said that the series of events will gather more than 7,000 athletes from the armed forces, sports clubs, businessmen and sports-loving communities across the country.
Sports Festival promotes physical training, improves community health, strengthens social connections through sports, and honors the image of brave, disciplined, united, intelligent, and courageous police officers in the new era.
The opening ceremony of the Sports Festival will take place on the evening of August 23, 2025 at the central square of NovaWorld Phan Thiet, elaborately staged with a combination of music performances, lighting, drum dance, flag dance, sports musical, dance sport, video projection... with performances by many famous singers and artistic fireworks. The program depicts the development journey of the People's Public Security Forces, along with sports values such as bravery, intelligence, will and solidarity.
Sports Festival 2025 includes 6 main sports, taking place continuously at NovaWorld Phan Thiet stadiums with 2 phases:
Phase 1 from August 19 to September 2, 2025 includes the race "80-year Journey for National Security" (August 24) taking place on the coastal road at NovaWorld Phan Thiet with the spirit of conquest, perseverance and solidarity, with more than 3,000 athletes participating, competing in 3 distances: 5km, 10km and 21km.
The 1st Open CAND Golf Tournament (August 23) took place at Ocean - Garden Course, NovaWorld Phan Thiet Golf Club, gathering 200 golfers who are CAND officers and soldiers, accompanying units, social organizations, and celebrities. The tournament emphasized technique, strategy, and coordination with team and individual competition formats.
Compak Sporting Flying Disc Shooting Tournament (August 21-23), emphasizing concentration and precision, gathered 80 professional, semi-professional and beginner shooters from sports clubs and armed forces nationwide. The tournament was divided into 2 groups: Men's group (A, B and Newbie) and women's group with the number of discs from 25 to 200.
The Professional Kickboxing - Kun Khmer Tournament (August 22) is an international level combat sports tournament, attracting the participation of many high-achieving athletes from home and abroad. The tournament demonstrates the strength, tactics and will of 20 boxers (10 Vietnamese athletes and 10 international athletes) in 10 weight categories competing in the professional level with a knockout format.
The "80-year Journey for National Security" race, expected to attract more than 3,000 athletes, will officially kick off on August 24.
Phase 2 takes place in October - November 2025, including the 2025 national tennis championship tournaments, attracting athletes from all over the country and is also an opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate the ability of Vietnamese tennis players in preparing to represent the country at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
At NovaWorld Phan Thiet, there will also be 6 international tournaments under the International Tennis Federation (ITF) system, including: 2 U18 tournaments, 2 professional women's tournaments and 2 professional men's tournaments, gathering tennis players from France, Sweden, the US, Japan, Korea, India and many other countries. The tournament is an exchange between tennis players from the Public Security Forces and sports clubs, with nearly 300 athletes participating in the following categories: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The tournament will be a demonstration of perseverance, ingenuity and determination to win.
The CAND Pickleball Tournament opens in the Southern region with 500 athletes who are officers and soldiers of the Police units and localities based from Da Nang and below; companions, social organizations, people and celebrities, the tournament promises to attract the attention of the community with a dynamic, innovative and connected spirit.
Along with the tournaments, Sports Festival 2025 also hosts a series of community-oriented activities and large-scale entertainment such as music and fashion performances and culinary - sports - connection experience spaces such as: Beachside Food Festival (from August 22 - 26); Music and fashion event series (from August 30 - September 2) ...
According to the Organizing Committee, Sports Festival 2025 promises to become a prominent sports - cultural - community mark of the year, where sports are not only a playground and exercise, but also a journey connecting the Public Security Forces with the people.
