With over 469,000 visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday, a 16.7% increase compared to the same period last year, Da Nang once again affirmed its position as a leading destination during the early year festival season. Of these, international visitors reached over 228,000, a 29% increase, while domestic visitors totaled over 241,000. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 1,887 billion VND, an optimistic figure to kick off the new year.

Looking back at the Lunar New Year of 2024, Da Nang welcomed approximately 362,000 visitors, a 23% increase compared to the previous year. In just one year, this number continues to surge, demonstrating the strong recovery and enduring appeal of this coastal city.

Unlike previous years, the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025 offers visitors not only beautiful scenery but also experiences that blend tradition with modernity: the Vietnamese Tet Festival in Hoa Vang district recreates the traditional Tet atmosphere with a rural market, lion and dragon dances, traditional opera, and folk games; the "Dance of the Han River" transforms the riverside area into a giant art stage with vibrant light and music performances; the Spring Flower Festival in Hai Chau district attracts thousands of visitors to admire floral art creations; the Quang Da Tet Food Festival recreates the atmosphere of a rural market with typical Central Vietnamese delicacies; and the " Spring Charm " exhibition at the Da Nang Museum offers a unique perspective on the Tet customs of local people throughout different periods.

At major tourist destinations, visitors can also immerse themselves in vibrant festival atmospheres. Ba Na Hills shines with its Tulip Festival, street performances, and the " Spring Symphony " show. This year's Tet holiday saw Da Nang airport busier than ever. During the holiday period, the city welcomed 1,275 flights, a 58% increase compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, Tien Sa Port welcomed two international cruise ships, bringing 1,800 tourists from the US, UK, and Canada to Da Nang to visit famous landmarks such as Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Son Tra Peninsula…

This Tet holiday, there are no longer the empty hotel rooms seen in previous years. Most 4-5 star hotels are operating at 60-65% occupancy, nearly 10% higher than last year. Hotels with 3 stars or less are also recording occupancy rates of around 40%, thanks to a strong increase in domestic tourism.

Many major hotels such as InterContinental Danang, Vinpearl Resort & Spa, and Hyatt Regency have launched Tet holiday promotions, organizing New Year's Eve buffets and spring-themed art programs, offering guests a complete holiday experience.
