The spread of the beach tourism season program

The opening program of Da Nang beach tourism season has truly turned Da Nang beach into a "meeting place" for entertainment and recreation, attracting a large number of people and tourists to Da Nang on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 every year. Over the past 13 years, these activities have always been renewed, attractive, bringing interesting experiences to tourists.

“The sea needs you, you need the sea”

The opening program of the Da Nang beach tourism season in 2025 with the theme "Blue Wave Dance" took place from April 26 to May 2, including a series of 18 activities, bringing people and tourists memorable experiences at Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang sea space.

In addition to fun and entertainment activities to create a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for tourists, the program also sends a message to raise awareness among people and tourists to actively participate in promoting environmental protection activities, saying no to the use of plastic bags, plastic waste, and cigarettes when playing, visiting, and relaxing at the beaches and Son Tra peninsula.

This year’s program has many activities such as: marine environment day with the theme “The sea needs you, you need the sea”, with the model of “exchanging trash for gifts”; people and tourists can participate in exchanging waste for environmentally friendly products such as glass bottles, cloth bags, and green trees.

Continue to implement coconut planting activities on Da Nang beaches with the goal of creating a sustainable landscape space. Up to now, the city has received and planted 1,255 coconut trees on Da Nang beaches from the contributions and support of organizations, individuals and businesses.

Innovate content, enhance experience

Many attractive activities for tourists to have fun and experience take place on this occasion such as: artistic kite performance with 30-50 large and small kites forming a check-in point; Da Nang international sea rescue competition in 2025; Sup competition "Danang color race 2025"; performance of jetski sea sports , parachute motor, banana float; sea sports festival; sea sports performance; series of activities at My An night beach; souvenir culinary space; beach yoga "Blue Wave Dance"; "Blue Wave Dance" ensemble performance; basket boat rowing experience activity; sailing performance; opening of "Sea Flower Street 2025"; sea swimming competition "Overcoming the waves of Da Nang summer 2025" ...

Beach decoration activities such as displaying paintings, photos and drawing for tourists are also considered highlights of this summer. Paintings about nature, Son Tra Peninsula, Red-shanked Douc Langur and local culture have attracted the attention of many people and tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan, a tourist from Thanh Hoa, said: “I used to study in Da Nang. This time coming back, I was able to admire the photos at the exhibition of paintings and photos “Son Tra Moments”, I truly felt the simple but vibrant beauty of nature on Son Tra Peninsula”.

Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches Nguyen Duc Vu said that the opening program of this year's beach tourism season focuses on innovating content and improving experiences for locals and tourists. At the same time, it promotes communication about awareness of protecting the marine and forest environment, bringing diverse activities to meet the needs of entertainment, contributing to spreading the spirit of green and sustainable living; promoting, advertising, and bringing the image of tourism in Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang beaches to locals and tourists at home and abroad.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the city organized more than 30 cultural, artistic, tourism, physical education and sports activities and events, including the opening program of the 2025 Da Nang beach tourism season, attracting a large number of tourists to Da Nang.

The total number of visitors to Da Nang during the 5-day holiday is estimated at 610,000, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024. The number of overnight guests is estimated at 230,395, of which international visitors are estimated at 105,000, an increase of 44%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 2,426 billion, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024.
