On the evening of May 26th, a visual art exhibition titled "We are made of SUN " opened at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel historical site.

Beyond a purely visual experience, We are made of SUN is a highly interactive art space that explores the continuous connection between nature, evolution, and the ecosystems that sustain life. The exhibition also cleverly connects with practical stories from EU-supported projects in Vietnam in the field of sustainable development.
The highlight of the exhibition is the interactive light and sound installation created by Fustic Studio. By combining light sculpture, physical movement, and a sound system, the artists have created a "Living Sun" that operates entirely based on the presence of people.
Through breath-sensing stations strategically placed around the space, each breath from the audience triggers a stream of light that travels toward a central core. From there, this energy mass gradually brightens and moves more intensely.
This unique operating mechanism becomes a profound visual metaphor for sustainability: Any positive change to the environment and ecology can only be sustained through the continuous, engaged, and conscious participation of humankind.
Visitors were eager to experience the exhibits.
The "Sun" theme at the exhibition also reflects the spirit of EU-funded sustainable development projects in Vietnam. These projects currently span many practical areas such as sustainable agriculture , nature conservation, skills development, and community capacity building.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier affirmed that sustainable development is not simply about technological solutions or infrastructure, but depends fundamentally on the human element, knowledge base, and the capacity for synergy to create change.
Sharing the EU's vision for global environmental protection, Ambassador Julien Guerrier emphasized: "We believe that the green transition only truly delivers lasting value when nurtured by the expertise and participation of the younger generation. Just as the sun radiates energy to sustain life, the young generation of Vietnam, with their knowledge and skills, will be a crucial driving force for innovation, community engagement, and leading change in the future."

The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until May 31, 2026.
