Tac Van is steadily building a new rural area.

Having achieved the New Rural Area (NRA) standard in 2014 and further achieving the advanced NRA standard in 2021, Tac Van commune, Ca Mau city, has been continuously striving to develop, improve the lives of its people, complete infrastructure, and create a fresh new look for the rural area...

Tac Van commune has National Highway 1 running through it, with a length of approximately 3.5 km. The rural road system has been concreted with a total length of more than 32 km, ensuring convenient travel and goods transportation.

In 2024, the average per capita income in the commune reached over 85 million VND. The commune no longer has any poor households, with only 20 near-poor households out of a total of 2,498 households, accounting for 0.68%. Currently, Tac Van commune has 1,094 business households, contributing to the promotion of trade and services in the locality; there are 17 households engaged in intensive and super-intensive shrimp farming, including one household that achieved VietGAP certification in 2024. The Toan Thang Aquaculture Cooperative, with 11 members, is developing a model for farming mud crabs, linking production and product consumption.

The rice noodle product of Mr. Chau Hoang Hop's household (Hamlet 4) has achieved OCOP 3-star standard.

The commune also invested in renovating the community cultural, sports , and learning center and the cultural houses in the four hamlets, creating a common space for residents.

Despite achieving many accomplishments, Tac Van commune is constantly improving the criteria for advanced new rural development; the commune government is determined to continue investing in and improving infrastructure, expanding effective production models; enhancing OCOP products and protecting the environment.

The Military Command of Tac Van commune always ensures that all shifts are in place, guaranteeing peace and security for the people.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Ben, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tac Van commune, informed: "The success in building new rural areas is due to the unity of the local government and the joint efforts of the people. The commune's Steering Committee continues to maintain and improve the material and spiritual lives of the people, and effectively carry out environmental sanitation work. At the same time, we are developing the trade and service sectors; super-intensive shrimp farming and improved two-stage extensive shrimp farming to improve the lives of the people."
