To help students and parents relieve the pressure of choosing majors and universities/colleges, on May 26th, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper organized an online counseling talk show with the theme "Smart Pathways After Graduating from High School".
In 2026, Ho Chi Minh City will be the locality with the largest scale of high school graduation exam organization in the country, with over 142,000 candidates participating. The pressure of the exam and the race to secure a place in their desired majors and universities will weigh heavily on students and parents.
Given this reality, choosing vocational education is seen as a practical solution, helping to alleviate both economic and psychological pressure, especially in the context of 10 colleges nationwide being recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as achieving high quality standards in 2026. Vocational training is no longer a last resort but is becoming a smart choice for the younger generation.

Candidates research information about the chosen profession.
The talk show featured experienced vocational education and training experts including: Dr. Nguyen Dang An Long, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics; Dr. Phan Thi Le Thu, Standing Vice Principal of Vien Dong College; Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Head of Training Department - Cao Thang Technical College; Ms. Vo Thanh Huong, Head of Admissions and Communications Department - Ho Chi Minh City International College; and Ms. Ngo Thi Oanh Vu, Head of Human Resources Project Department - De Heus Vietnam Group.
