The "Joining Hands" Club is preparing clothes to donate to people in flood-affected areas.

Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet, Head of the "Joining Hands" Club, said: "Upon hearing about the losses suffered by people in the central and northern provinces and cities due to typhoons No. 10 and No. 11, the club members sought ways to help with a spirit of sharing."

The club collected clothes from benefactors, received them, washed them, and carefully sorted them. Most of these clothes were handed over to relief convoys assisting flood victims, while the rest were sent via shipping services to ensure they reached the people as quickly as possible.

According to Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet, after the transport trips, a total of 30 bags of clothes were donated to the people. Many charitable groups and individuals, aware of this meaningful activity, also joined hands to donate. The club prioritized sending thick, warm clothes to the people of Lao Cai province, while the rest were sent to Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

The club's motto is "the way of giving is more important than the gift itself," so members carefully select, sort, wash, and neatly fold the donated clothes. "The goal is for people to feel happy and warm-hearted when they receive the clothes," shared Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam is transporting used clothes to donate to people in flood-affected areas.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam, Vice Chairman of the Club, is very proactive in collecting clothes from benefactors, helping with packaging and transportation. Mr. Nam said: “We believe that during this time when people are facing many difficulties due to the storms and floods, these gifts will provide them with encouragement. That's why everyone is dedicated to this charitable work.”

According to Mr. Nam, in addition to clothing, the Club also mobilized a considerable amount of instant noodles, soy sauce, etc., to donate to flood victims. During the previous Mid-Autumn Festival, the Club also sent hundreds of lanterns and notebooks to children in flood-affected areas in Central Vietnam.

Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet has been the leading figure of the "Connecting Hands" Charity Club for over 10 years.

The "Connecting Hands" volunteer club, affiliated with the Center for Preservation and Dissemination of Traditional Martial Arts, has been operating for over 10 years. The club is notable for its many activities, including fundraising, donating money, gifts, and essential supplies to disadvantaged people and those with disabilities on occasions such as Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, the start of the new school year, and the Vu Lan Festival.

In previous years, the Club also regularly carried out practical activities to support people affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods, even organizing charitable trips to the flood-stricken areas.
