During the collaboration, the two organizations launched a medically standardized screening questionnaire with professional endorsement from the Vietnam Ophthalmological Society, increasing the accessibility of early risk identification solutions for all citizens.
The ceremony was attended by Professor, Doctor, People's Physician Ton Thi Kim Thanh - President of the Vietnam Ophthalmology Association; Dr. Tran Dinh Minh Huy, Department of Refraction, Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital; Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc, General Director of Santen Vietnam; Mr. Vu Ngoc Thang - Director of the Pharmaceutical and Vaccine Division of Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination Center System, along with leaders of agencies and units and representatives of the press.

Professor, Doctor, and People's Physician Ton Thi Kim Thanh - President of the Vietnam Ophthalmological Society, assessed: “If not properly recognized and cared for, dry eye can significantly affect the quality of life, work performance, and long-term visual health. The Vietnam Ophthalmological Society highly appreciates the significance of the cooperation program between Santen and the Long Chau pharmacy system in implementing activities to raise awareness and support people in accessing dry eye screening tools more easily. We believe that providing accurate, understandable, and reliable medical information will contribute to helping the community pay more attention to visual health, thereby proactively caring for and protecting their eyes from an early age.”

Mr. Vu Ngoc Thang - Director of the Pharmaceutical and Vaccine Division at Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination Center System, shared: “Within the framework of this program, Long Chau is a long-term partner to achieve the following goals: Officially launching a free dry eye test on the Long Chau Pharmacy website, helping people easily identify signs of eye diseases caused by excessive exposure to blue light...”.

A key highlight of the "Dry Eye Screening - Eye Care and Protection in a Digital Environment" project is the launch of an online dry eye screening questionnaire, professionally supported by the Vietnam Ophthalmological Society. This is a rapid screening tool designed based on scientific principles, helping users easily assess their risk of dry eyes. The questionnaire focuses on factors such as: common symptoms (glare, irritation, eye pain, blurred vision, decreased visual acuity...), frequency of eye discomfort, environmental conditions that cause eye discomfort… with a completion time of only about 30 seconds.
