A gift of 100,000 VND per person will be given to all citizens to celebrate Independence Day on September 2nd.

In the atmosphere of nationwide jubilation celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, and to continue demonstrating the profound concern of the Party and State for all the people, implementing the directive of General Secretary To Lam, the Party Committee of the Government has submitted to the Politburo a proposal to organize gift-giving to the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

In document No. 17129-CV/VPTW dated August 28th from the Central Office, the Politburo agreed in principle to give gifts to the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

To promptly implement the Politburo's directives, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security , and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities, according to their assigned functions and duties, to act in accordance with the Politburo's directives.

Ministries, departments, and localities should coordinate closely and immediately review the recipients of the gifts and deliver them to the people using appropriate methods (bank transfer or direct delivery) as soon as possible, completing the process before National Day on September 2nd.

The gift amount is 100,000 VND per person, for all citizens to celebrate Independence Day.

The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance to take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently report to the competent authorities before August 29th on the allocation of appropriate funds for implementation, ensuring balance in the state budget.

The State Bank of Vietnam has directed relevant units and commercial banks, especially those where the State Treasury maintains accounts, to ensure the payment and cash systems meet the requirements for timely and smooth distribution of gifts to the people, ensuring that no one is left out and that there is no duplication.

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-governed cities to direct relevant agencies and units in their localities to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Bank of Vietnam to organize the timely and safe delivery of gifts to the people, ensuring the progress meets the requirements.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, and Vietnam News Agency, according to their assigned functions and duties, shall carry out information and communication work on the above-mentioned policies of the Party and State, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and unity among the people to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

The Government Office, in accordance with its assigned functions and duties, shall monitor and urge the implementation of this Directive; and report to the competent authorities on matters beyond its authority.
