To arouse passion for technology, develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills, the Youth Union of Tay Ninh Vocational College built and deployed the model "Learning technology to develop thinking and creativity".

In the modern educational trend, learning associated with practical experience, especially the application of technology, is becoming an urgent requirement. However, in reality, many students still learn theory in a dry way, lack the opportunity to apply it in practice or have not had access to creative forms of learning.

Model of "Learning technology to develop thinking and creativity" of Tay Ninh Vocational College Youth Union.

Secretary of the Youth Union of Tay Ninh Vocational College Le Tran Thao Nguyen said: “In the context of digital transformation and the rapid development of information technology, students need to access technological knowledge in a practical and intuitive way. Through the construction of the model “Learning technology to develop thinking and creativity” with the theme of assembling computer models from real components, the Youth Union hopes to help students identify, remember and understand each part of the computer through the experience of assembling.

From there, develop logical thinking, analytical skills, creativity and problem solving ability, inspire a love of technology, and career orientation in the fields of engineering and information technology.

In December 2024, the School Youth Union coordinated with professional groups to develop a plan to implement the model to create conditions for students to access technological knowledge, creative thinking and practical application skills.

During the implementation of the model, students of the school participated in useful experiential activities. They were provided with computer components and parts (motherboard, RAM, model CPU, simulated hard drive, power supply, case, monitor, connecting cable, etc.), based on the technical diagram to assemble the parts into a complete computer model. Teachers will accompany and support to explain the operating principles of each part during the assembly process.

Student Thach Thi Hoai Thuong, Secretary of the Youth Union CKTD10A2, Tay Ninh Vocational College said: “Participating in the experience of assembling computer parts helps us easily remember knowledge about computer structure, increasing practical understanding. From there, we practice systematic thinking, technical operation ability, teamwork and creativity”.

In addition, the Tay Ninh Vocational College also organizes many learning and technology experience activities. During the activities, every 2 weeks, the unit guides students to focus on contents such as: basic programming, product design through software, application of artificial intelligence in learning...

From March 1 to March 20, 2025, the unit launched the "Students' Technology Innovation" contest with contents such as product design competition, creative idea presentation, technology situation handling... attracting a large number of students to participate.

Students enjoy learning about computer components and parts.

After a period of implementation, the model "Learning technology to develop thinking and creativity" has contributed to creating a positive learning environment, promoting students' self-study and research capacity and becoming a regular and useful activity.
