The Department of Agriculture and Environment is strengthening its monitoring and handling of rabies outbreaks in animals, promptly sharing information with the health sector to proactively prevent transmission to humans. It is also coordinating with localities to accelerate the rabies vaccination program for dogs and cats throughout the province, ensuring that the set targets are met.

Strengthen communication activities for dog and cat owners regarding measures to ensure safety for people in public areas, preventing cases of animal bites that cause serious consequences; focus on promoting the benefits of vaccinating animals against rabies.

People should proactively vaccinate their dogs and cats against rabies.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directs press agencies, media outlets, and the grassroots information system to coordinate with the Department of Health to intensify propaganda about the dangers of rabies and preventive measures.

The People's Committees of communes and wards should effectively implement the National Program for Rabies Prevention and Control for the period 2022-2030 in their areas; strengthen inter-sectoral coordination between health and veterinary sectors in monitoring, early detection, and investigation of rabies outbreaks in humans and animals in the community; and promote communication to raise public awareness of the dangers of rabies and preventive measures.
