During this period, Van Don simultaneously commenced construction on 12 new projects and inaugurated and opened 4 projects to traffic, with a total investment of nearly 2,300 billion VND. The projects span many key sectors such as transportation, urban development, education , trade and services, social infrastructure, and urban beautification.
Notable examples include strategic transportation projects such as: the Mang River bridge connecting Minh Chau - Quan Lan islands with Ban Sen island; the central arterial road, urban access roads, and coastal roads; the road connecting Van Don 3 bridge with the Doan Ket resettlement area; and urban beautification projects, drainage system improvements, flood control, and infrastructure upgrades in many residential areas. These projects not only alleviate traffic bottlenecks but also open up new development opportunities for urban areas, tourism , services, and logistics.
In addition, a series of public, educational, and commercial projects have been invested in synchronously, such as Dong Xa Secondary School, Ha Long Secondary School, Cai Rong Market, a smart broadcasting system, resettlement areas, community centers, etc., contributing to improving the quality of life for people and creating an increasingly spacious and modern urban landscape.

The simultaneous implementation and commissioning of key infrastructure projects has created a significant impetus for the socio -economic development of the Van Don Special Economic Zone. The synchronized transportation infrastructure shortens travel time, reduces logistics costs, and creates favorable conditions for attracting investment in tourism, services, trade, and marine economy sectors.
In particular, urban renovation projects and improvements to technical infrastructure and living environment contribute to raising the quality of life for residents, creating a solid foundation for Van Don to develop into an ecological, modern, and smart city.
Mr. Vu Duc Huong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Don Special Economic Zone, stated: Focusing resources on key projects aims not only to improve immediate infrastructure but also to create long-term opportunities to attract strategic investors and form a sustainable development value chain. Each project implemented is linked to long-term goals, creating a ripple effect for socio-economic development, improving people's lives, and gradually realizing the aspiration to build Van Don Special Economic Zone into a dynamic, multi-sectoral, multi-field maritime economic center, a new generation special economic zone of the country.

The simultaneous implementation of numerous projects has received strong support and approval from officials, Party members, citizens, and the business community. Many households in areas where infrastructure has been invested in have stated that upgrading roads and improving urban areas not only facilitates easier travel but also opens up opportunities for service and business development, leading to increased income.
Ms. Ngo Thi Anh, Party Secretary and Head of Zone 6 (Van Don Special Economic Zone), shared: "The people are truly happy and excited that the special economic zone's technical infrastructure continues to receive investment from the government. This not only helps us enjoy the fruits of development but also creates conditions for the special economic zone to enhance its capacity to attract investment, forming world-class tourism service areas, bringing great economic value to the locality."

Prior to this event, many businesses operating in the Van Don Special Economic Zone used it as motivation to continue formulating new development strategies for their units. Mr. Le Dinh Vinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Everland Group Joint Stock Company, said: "The increasingly improved infrastructure is a key factor that helps businesses feel secure in expanding investment. When transportation, electricity, water, and services are invested in synchronously, the attractiveness of Van Don to domestic and foreign investors will grow even greater."
Along with projects by strategic investors that have recently commenced and been inaugurated in the Van Don Special Economic Zone (High-end complex tourism service area; Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don tourism, resort and entertainment complex, phase 1), projects using state budget capital to be implemented in the near future will not only contribute to completing the socio-economic infrastructure system but also create a solid foundation for the locality to make breakthroughs in the coming period. This is clear evidence of Quang Ninh province's efforts in realizing the goals of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress on rapid and sustainable development, building Van Don into a new generation special economic zone, an important growth pole, and making a positive contribution to the overall development of the province and the region.
