Vietnam Chemical Corporation has a new chairman.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just signed a decision appointing Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem), to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the corporation.

Mr. Hiep was appointed to replace Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, who retired on June 1st.

The new Chairman of the Vinachem Board of Members, born in 1977, holds a PhD in economics , is a well-trained official, and has held important positions in many subsidiary units within Vinachem, such as General Director of Vietnam Chemical Finance Joint Stock Company and General Director of Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.

In January 2019, Mr. Hiep was appointed Deputy General Director of Vinachem. After 5 months, he was assigned the role of Deputy General Director in charge of the group. In February 2020, he was appointed Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vinachem Group.
