ESG is not only a trend, but also a new standard for businesses to affirm their responsibility to the community and create a foundation for long-term economic development. This is considered a hot spot at the Vietnam Private Economic Forum 2025 (VPSF 2025) on September 16. Along with many businesses in other fields, Khai Hung Group was also present at the event to listen, share and connect. On this occasion, the reporter had an interview with Mr. Le Duc Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Khai Hung Group Joint Stock Company, to learn more about the messages, vision and development orientation in the coming period.

PV: Can you share the main reasons and goals of Khai Hung Group when participating in the Vietnam Private Economic Forum 2025?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: We want to listen, share and contribute practical voices from the perspective of a real estate, service and investment enterprise, especially in the field of urban - tourism - accommodation associated with sustainable development. This is also an opportunity for Khai Hung to connect with partners, experts and approach new trends, in order to shape the long-term strategy for the group. And also through the dialogue sessions, Khai Hung also wants to take advantage of the "openings" that Resolution 68 brings to send a voice to leaders at all levels. With the motto "co-creation", I see that there are many businesses that share the same will to develop, thereby nurturing the desire to "make a storm from a few", together creating a more favorable and sustainable business environment."

PV: What role does Khai Hung play in this forum?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: This time, Khai Hung participated as a companion member and was also one of the businesses that directly contributed their opinions in the discussion session related to infrastructure development - tourism real estate and new economic zones. This is an honor and at the same time a responsibility to represent the voice of a segment of businesses in the industry.

PV: From the perspective of a private enterprise, what message did you bring to the forum?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: Our message is that private economic development must go hand in hand with sustainability, local identity and community values. Khai Hung does not just build resorts for sale, but aims to create living, resort and investment spaces that are closely linked to nature, culture, and the long-term needs of future generations. We believe that every private enterprise can become a healthy "cell" in the body of the national economy.

PV: After attending, what are the important information, trends or lessons that Khai Hung has gained?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: Through the forum, we clearly see the following trends: (1) The Government continues to encourage the private economy to become a growth driver; (2) Real estate associated with transport infrastructure and green tourism will be the focus; (3) ESG criteria and sustainable development will increasingly become "passports" for businesses. These are important lessons for Khai Hung to review and adjust its strategy in the coming period.

PV: From the perspectives and information gathered at the forum, how is Khai Hung planning to develop in the coming time, especially with the large-scale resort in Bao Loc - how do you evaluate the potential of this market?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: Khai Hung continues to focus on Bao Loc - which we believe is the new growth center of Lam Dong. With the advantages of climate, landscape and traffic infrastructure that are being heavily invested, Bao Loc has the potential to become a national and even international tourism and resort destination. We aim to develop large-scale, synchronous, iconic resorts that are capable of attracting high-quality capital flows.

PV: Sun Valley Resort in Bao Loc is considered one of Khai Hung's strategic projects. Could you share more about the vision and outstanding advantages of this resort?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: Sun Valley is a strategic resort developed by Khai Hung in Bao Loc. We are very dedicated and will try to turn this place into a highlight of the city. With a scale of more than 50 hectares, the resort is planned synchronously according to the resort - ecological - commercial model. The biggest difference is that Sun Valley is not just a resort, but also integrates Sun Valley Farm - a space for experiencing agricultural tourism, connecting with the community and creating vitality for the whole area.

PV: Sun Valley Resort in Bao Loc is considered one of Khai Hung's strategic projects. Could you share more about the vision and outstanding advantages of this resort?

PV: What different values will Sun Valley bring to customers and to the development of Bao Loc area in particular, as well as the real estate market in general?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: Sun Valley not only brings a high-quality place to live and relax for customers, but also contributes to creating a tourism - commercial ecosystem for Bao Loc. We hope that this area will become a boost to promote the regional real estate market to develop more professionally, while contributing to raising the image of Bao Loc as a "new Da Lat" but with a modern, synchronous and different style.

PV: Khai Hung's project in Bao Loc has had some negative information, can you share more about this issue?

Mr. Le Duc Hung: Actually, in the early stages of coming to Bao Loc, my team and I had the greatest desire to contribute to the development of our homeland, because I was born in Lam Dong. However, due to the new legal context, there were misunderstandings and inaccurate media information, causing some unfavorable information. At that time, Bao Loc and Bao Lam did not have a general planning, leading to conflicts between different types of planning, from land use to construction, and especially there was no precedent for non-state investment projects. Therefore, we could not develop as an official investor, but followed the direction of development, focusing on beautifying the landscape, construction and providing services.

During that journey, my team and I have always devoted all our heart and soul, even mobilizing resources from many places, with the desire to create a resort that is both beautiful and systematic, and brings real value to the locality. I think this is an inevitable part when a business takes the lead and dares to experiment with unprecedented models. The important thing is that we always work with a sense of responsibility and the goal of creating long-term value for Bao Loc, and I believe that what we have been doing in Sun Valley as well as other projects will be the clearest proof - that Khai Hung goes the long way and is committed to accompanying the development of Bao Loc. This further shows that Khai Hung always chooses the path of sustainable development, patiently accompanying the locality, instead of chasing short-term benefits.
