The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office has just issued a document requesting agencies, units, organizations and individuals not to send gifts or give congratulatory flowers on the occasion of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
This policy aims to practice thrift and ensure absolute security and safety during the Congress - an important political event of the city in the new term.
In addition, the Congress will not use paper documents (except confidential documents). All delegates are encouraged to bring tablets to access information, documents and agendas through an electronic system specially prepared for the Congress.
This is a new point showing innovation, modernization and streamlining in the organization of the Party Congress in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming at a "paperless" and environmentally friendly working model.
According to information from the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, will be held from October 11 to 15, 2025.
On October 11 and 12, delegates attended pre-Congress activities and visited the City's typical works. On the morning of October 13, the Congress held a preparatory session. On the whole day of October 14 and the morning of October 15, official and closing sessions took place.
This Congress has special significance as it is the first Party Congress since Ho Chi Minh City reorganized its administrative units according to the model of a centrally-run city without districts, towns, or Thu Duc City.
The thorough implementation of thrift, transparency and application of technology in organizational work is considered the starting step for a term of innovation in leadership and management methods of the City Party Committee, in line with the digital transformation trend of urban government.
