Training on maternal and child nutrition care.

From May 25th to 29th, the Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control organized a training course to enhance the capacity of grassroots health workers, village health workers, and village midwives on maternal and child nutrition care in 2026.

The presenter from the Khanh Hoa Center for Disease Control and Prevention imparted knowledge to the trainees.

The training content focused on topics such as: guidance on implementing Decision No. 3452/QD-BYT dated September 6, 2023, of the Ministry of Health on improving nutrition; guidance on appropriate nutritional supplementation for children aged 6 to 23 months; detection, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute malnutrition in children aged 0 to 72 months; assessment of the nutritional status of children aged 0 to 16 years; and the use of software for reporting nutritional indicators…

The trainees participated in the training course.

The training course aims to effectively implement the "Improving Nutrition" content of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction giai đoạn 2021–2025; and at the same time enhance the knowledge and professional skills of grassroots health workers in the care, monitoring, and management of community nutrition, as well as nutrition officers at the local level. This will contribute to improving the quality of nutritional care for mothers and children, reducing the rate of stunting and underweight in children under 16 years old; and reducing the rate of low birth weight and anemia in pregnant and breastfeeding women...
