Flexible arrangement of 2 special examination rooms.

During the 2026-2027 entrance exam for 10th grade in public high schools, two candidates unfortunately broke their arms before the exam. They were Le Van Hoang Thong, a student from Le Hong Phong Secondary School (Phan Rang ward), taking the exam at Thap Cham High School, and Mang Nguyen, a student from A. Yersin Secondary School, taking the exam at Doan Thi Diem High School. To help the students feel secure and complete their exams, the Department of Education and Training allowed the examination boards at each testing center to arrange a separate examination room for each candidate and assign one invigilator to assist with writing answers, ensuring compliance with examination regulations.

According to Le Van Hoang Thong, about half a month before the exam, he unfortunately had a traffic accident that resulted in a broken arm. “The inability to write on my own during this important exam made me very worried. With the teachers providing support and assistance in taking notes, I feel much more at ease and confident. I will try my best to achieve the highest possible result,” Le Van Hoang Thong shared before entering the exam room.

According to Ms. Phan Thi Bang Chau, Vice Chairperson of the Examination Board at Thap Cham High School, on May 27th, after reviewing the situation of the candidates, the board noted one case of a broken right arm. After reporting and receiving approval from the Department of Education and Training, the board arranged a separate examination room for the candidate in accordance with regulations, ensuring sufficient invigilators and supervisors, assigning invigilators to assist with note-taking, and using audio recording devices to record the entire examination process to ensure objectivity and transparency.

About two weeks before the exam, Mang Nguyen unfortunately fell off her motorbike, resulting in a broken arm, making it impossible for her to write. As the exam approached, Nguyen became increasingly anxious because the entrance exam for 10th grade was a crucial turning point after many years of studying. The timely support and assistance from the examination board helped her gain confidence going into the exam. A reserve examination room was arranged so that Nguyen could take the exam in the most favorable conditions. In this room, in addition to the invigilator, there was also an invigilator to assist her in copying the answers according to the regulations.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Toi, Chairman of the Examination Board at Doan Thi Diem High School, the support provided to candidates was carried out seriously, ensuring objectivity and fairness. The supporting invigilators were not allowed to look at the exam questions; they only listened to the candidates read and transcribed the content of their answers verbatim. The invigilators sat in front so that the candidates could observe the transcribed answers and continue developing their answers. To ensure transparency, the candidates' exam-taking process was recorded using specialized equipment provided by the Department of Education and Training. After each exam, the equipment was sealed and then unsealed for the next exam, in accordance with regulations.

Efforts to complete the first day of the exam.

Thanks to the timely, flexible, and responsible support from the Department of Education and Training and the examination boards, the two special candidates completed the Literature and Mathematics exams on the first day with confidence and stability. “The structure of this year's Literature and Mathematics exams was familiar, the difficulty level wasn't too high, but it did differentiate students' abilities. I completed both exams at an average to above-average level. I thank the teachers for their support, which helped me confidently complete the first day of exams and feel secure going into the English exam tomorrow,” shared Le Van Hoang Thong.

The timely deployment of special examination rooms by the education sector demonstrates the spirit of "not letting any student miss out on learning opportunities" due to unforeseen incidents, helping candidates feel secure and focus on completing the exam. This is a beautiful image of the education sector, reflecting a deep sense of responsibility and humanity in the school environment – where every student, even in difficult circumstances, always receives care, support, and assistance so that no one is left behind. This helps candidates gain more confidence and strength to overcome important milestones in their journey to conquer knowledge.
