Focus on overcoming the consequences of flash floods, landslides and proactively responding to natural disasters

Implementing Official Dispatch No. 123/CD-TTg dated July 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister on focusing on overcoming the consequences of flash floods and landslides in Son La province and proactively responding to natural disasters in the coming time. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 04 dated July 28, 2025 on focusing on overcoming the consequences of flash floods and landslides in Son La province and proactively responding to natural disasters.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes, wards and functional departments and branches to direct units and forces to strengthen inspection and review of damaged, flooded and cut-off roads in the area under their management; mobilize forces and means to quickly overcome landslide incidents, ensure the fastest and safest traffic on the route, and ensure people's travel. Arrange forces to control, support, guide traffic, place signs in landslide areas, underground, overflowing, deeply flooded areas... including on national highways in the management area. Continue to urgently direct the search for missing people; focus on overcoming the consequences of the recent floods.

Organize visits, encouragement, and support for families affected by damage, families with preferential policies, and single parents. Arrange temporary accommodation for households that have lost their homes or had to relocate; provide emergency support with food, necessities, and medicine for people in isolated areas, so that people do not go hungry. Mobilize local forces and means to help people overcome the consequences, repair their homes, and restore production.

Mobilize all people and mass organizations from commune to village to participate in cleaning, general environmental sanitation, disinfection, to prevent disease outbreaks and spread. Continue to review dangerous residential areas at high risk of landslides, flash floods, and flash floods. Deploy damage assessment and statistics to proactively support, overcome consequences and report to relevant agencies according to regulations. Use commune budget reserve funds to overcome consequences of natural disasters according to regulations.

Propose that the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee promote the spirit of mutual love and affection, organize donations, support, increase relief and assistance for people in flood-affected areas; allocate relief money and goods to ensure practicality, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations; mobilize organizations and individuals to help affected families, helping people stabilize their lives soon.
