Tay Ho: 99.2% of households agree with the administrative unit arrangement plan

Tay Ho District has established 113 groups to collect public opinions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the area. As a result, 99.2% of households agreed with the arrangement plan of Hanoi city.

On the afternoon of April 22, Tay Ho district issued Report No. 145/BC UBND on synthesizing the results of public opinion collection on the arrangement of ward administrative units in Tay Ho district.

Specifically, during 3 days (April 19-21), Tay Ho district established 113 groups to collect public opinions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the area by distributing and collecting ballots to collect opinions from voters representing households.

Regarding the content of collecting public opinions on the plan to arrange administrative units in wards in Tay Ho district, a total of 47,744 ballots were distributed; a total of 47,075 ballots were collected; the number of votes in agreement accounted for 99.2%.

Regarding the content of collecting public opinions on the name of the new administrative unit, the total number of ballots issued to collect voters' opinions was 47,744; the total number of ballots collected was 47,075; the number of votes in agreement accounted for 99.2%.

According to the plan of Hanoi People's Committee, after implementing the arrangement of administrative units, Tay Ho district is expected to establish 2 basic administrative units: Tay Ho and Phu Thuong. In addition, a part of the natural area and population of Phu Thuong, Nhat Tan, Quang An, Tu Lien, Yen Phu wards will be transferred to Hong Ha basic administrative unit.

Through a survey to collect opinions from people in Tay Ho district, people from all walks of life expressed their agreement and consensus with the plan to reorganize the administrative units of Hanoi city. The majority of people also expressed their confidence that the implementation of the construction of a 2-level government model close to the people will open up new development opportunities for Tay Ho and the capital Hanoi.

Tay Ho people also hope that the City People's Committee will continue to promptly and detailedly inform about the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units, thereby creating high consensus and unanimity among the people.
