Taylor Fritz takes Djokovic's world number 4 ranking.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - After winning the Stuttgart Open 2025, Taylor Fritz rose to number 4 in the ATP rankings, pushing Novak Djokovic down to number 5.

Taylor Fritz climbed three places, reaching world No. 4 for the first time in his career after winning the 2025 Stuttgart Open in Germany. This is the ninth ATP title of the American player's career.

Fritz defeated Alexander Zverev in the final with a score of 6-3, 7-6 on the evening of June 15th, extending his winning streak against the German player to five matches. Taylor Fritz became the only American player currently in the ATP top 4.

This achievement puts Fritz ahead of Novak Djokovic, pushing the Serbian legend down to fifth place. The race for the world number 4 spot promises to be intense in the two weeks leading up to Wimbledon 2025, which runs from June 30 to July 13.

Djokovic is trying to focus his efforts on the Grand Slams, but his absence from smaller tournaments has allowed younger rivals to overtake him in the rankings. If he doesn't finish in the top four, Nole risks facing Sinner, Zverev, or Alcaraz as early as the quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2025.

The remaining positions in the world's top 10 also saw significant changes. Jack Draper and Lorenzo Musetti dropped in the rankings after failing to hold their points, allowing Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton to surge ahead.
