Ter Stegen's double save.

In the 89th minute of the Nations League semi-final, Portugal launched a dangerous attack down the left wing. Cristiano Ronaldo broke through to the byline and passed the ball back to Diogo Jota, who was on the run and took a shot. However, Ter Stegen reacted quickly. Immediately afterwards, Francisco Conceicao rushed in for a rebound, but the Barcelona goalkeeper made two impressive saves from both shots from a distance of only about 6 meters.

Ter Stegen had an outstanding performance against Portugal with four saves. In the first half, he also denied Ronaldo's shot into the far corner. However, that wasn't enough to help Germany secure a place in the final.

The 1-2 defeat against Portugal marked the first time in 25 years that "Die Mannschaft" had fallen to their opponents from the Iberian Peninsula. Furthermore, it was Germany's first home defeat against Portugal since 1985.

After the final whistle, Ter Stegen clearly showed his disappointment. After many years, he finally earned a starting spot for the national team. However, the goalkeeper born in 1992 has yet to make a significant impact or help Germany achieve success.

Conversely, Portugal has reached the UEFA Nations League final for the second time. Ronaldo and his teammates will face the winner of the match between France and Spain. The other semi-final of the tournament will take place at 2:00 AM on June 6th, with the final three days later.
