Double save by Ter Stegen.

In the 89th minute of the Nations League semi-final, Portugal launched a dangerous attack on the left flank. Cristiano Ronaldo escaped down the line and then passed the ball back for Diogo Jota to finish. However, Ter Stegen still managed to react. Immediately after, Francisco Conceicao rushed in to shoot, but the Barcelona goalkeeper still made impressive saves against both shots from a distance of only about 6 meters.

Ter Stegen had an excellent performance against Portugal with 4 saves. In the first half, he also denied Ronaldo a shot from the far corner. However, that was not enough to help Germany qualify for the final.

The 2-1 defeat to Portugal was the first time in 25 years that "Die Mannschaft" had fallen to opponents from the Iberian Peninsula. It was also the first defeat at home for Germany against Portugal since 1985.

After the final whistle, Ter Stegen expressed his disappointment. After many years, he finally got a starting position in the national team. However, the goalkeeper born in 1992 has not left a significant mark to help the German team reap success.

On the other hand, Portugal has won a ticket to the UEFA Nations League final for the second time. Ronaldo and his teammates will face the winner of the match between France and Spain. The remaining semi-final of the tournament will take place at 2am on June 6, with the final match taking place 3 days later.
