Tuong Phong village cultural house was built mainly with funds contributed by the people.
Tuong Phong village has 247 households, mainly Muong ethnic people. In the journey of building new rural areas, the village has mobilized people's contributions to build grassroots cultural institutions. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bien - one of the families with many contributions to building cultural institutions in the village, said: "Aware of the responsibility in building new rural areas in general and building cultural institutions in particular, I voluntarily supported the funding with the people to build the village cultural house. Seeing the village cultural house built spaciously, the people have a place to meet and participate in community activities, I am very excited because I have contributed part of my efforts to build my homeland. In the coming time, I will mobilize everyone in the family to do many practical things to renovate the cultural house campus to be greener, cleaner, more beautiful, and actively participate in protecting the cultural institutions of the village".
Head of Tuong Phong village, Quach Van Bac, shared: To have funds to build a cultural house, the village asked for the commune's policy on mobilizing contributions from the people. After the commune agreed, the village organized a conference to collect opinions and received the people's support. After a period of mobilization and propaganda, households in the village contributed nearly 1 billion VND. In addition to cash contributions, the people also contributed hundreds of working days. Currently, the village cultural house is spaciously built with an area of 288m2 and 240 seats. Since its inauguration, the cultural house has been effectively used by the people, becoming a meeting place and activity place for mass art clubs, physical education and sports .
Identifying the construction of cultural and sports institutions as an important condition to improve the spiritual life of the people, every year the People's Committee of Thach Quang commune conducts inspections, reviews and accurately assesses the current status of cultural institutions and develops plans and allocates funding to support villages in building cultural houses, equipment and grounds. With the motto "The State and the People work together", in the process of implementing the construction of grassroots cultural institutions, the commune has actively mobilized households to contribute to building, upgrading and repairing cultural institutions. At the same time, it directs villages to establish community supervision boards and publicly and transparently collect and spend people's contributions as well as funds supported by the State. According to statistics from the People's Committee of the commune, from 2022 to present, the commune has upgraded and repaired the grounds and fences of many cultural houses, and built 6 new cultural houses.
Currently, the commune has 22/22 villages with cultural houses fully equipped with facilities to serve the people's daily activities. Promoting the achieved results, the commune will continue to mobilize resources from the people to renovate and repair cultural houses, expand the campus, and purchase more physical training and sports equipment to meet the daily needs of the people.
