The ceremony was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee; Mr. Nguyen Son Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dao Van Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies. Representing THACO , Mr. Tran Dao Minh Huu - General Director of THACO AUTO Dong Nai, also attended the ceremony.
By partnering with this tournament, THACO aims to provide a beneficial and healthy sporting environment that promotes physical fitness among children. At the same time, it seeks to discover and nurture young talents with passion and enthusiasm, contributing to the development of Vietnamese football.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Mot - Senior Director in charge of Culture and Sports at THACO, stated: “The fact that Dong Nai Newspaper has persistently maintained a playground for children passionate about football throughout the province every summer for the past 20 years is a very commendable act, and THACO wishes to partner with Dong Nai Newspaper. Through this, we can contribute to promoting school football in particular and the sports movement in general to develop even more strongly.”
In addition to school football tournaments, THACO has also actively partnered with Dong Nai Newspaper in the "Overcoming Difficulties for the Future" scholarship program for many years, providing nearly 3.2 billion VND in support and awarding more than 1,600 scholarships to students.
The 20th Dong Nai Newspaper - CP Vietnam Children's Football Cup took place from August 8th to 14th, with the participation of 11 children's football teams consisting of elementary school students from districts and cities in Dong Nai province. The tournament was divided into two groups and played a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The winning team will receive a prize of 20 million VND, along with a trophy, flag, and gold medals. The runner-up team will be awarded 15 million VND, along with a flag and silver medals. The two teams tied for third place will each receive 10 million VND, a flag, and bronze medals. In addition, the organizers will also award a Fair Play prize of 3 million VND, as well as individual awards such as Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, and Best Player of the tournament. Having been held 19 times, the Dong Nai Newspaper - CP Vietnam Children's Football Cup has affirmed its position as an important sporting event, making a positive contribution to the development of school football in Dong Nai province. |
