THACO accompanies the 2025 Vietnam Rural Half Marathon

On January 4 and 5, in Tri Ton district, An Giang province, the 2025 Vietnam Rural Half Marathon took place with the theme "Tri Ton - Returning to the legendary land". THACO is the sponsor of the program.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Dao Si Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Cao Quang Liem - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tri Ton District; Mr. Nguyen Van Be Tam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tri Ton District; Mr. Tran Minh Giang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tri Ton District, Head of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang - Vice President of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development, Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Viet Magazine, and local government leaders. More than 3,000 athletes participate in the 2025 Vietnam Rural Half Marathon

The 2025 Nong Thon Viet Half Marathon is the first large-scale sporting event organized by the Tri Ton District People's Committee in collaboration with Nong Thon Viet Magazine. The race attracts about 3,000 athletes from many provinces and cities in the country and internationally, including professional and semi-professional athletes and running enthusiasts.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Minh Giang - Vice Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee said: "The 2025 Vietnam Rural Half Marathon is a meaningful cultural, sports and tourism event, aiming to promote and introduce the natural beauty, rich cuisine, good traditional cultural values ​​along with the friendliness and hospitality of Tri Ton people to a large number of tourists inside and outside the district".

The running route gives athletes the opportunity to explore famous landmarks in Tri Ton land.

At the race, athletes competed in 3 distances: 5km, 10km and 21km. Through the running route, athletes had the opportunity to explore famous landmarks, culture and people in Tri Ton land.

Mr. Pham Duc Vu - Deputy Director of THAGRICO An Giang awarded prizes to female athletes with excellent achievements in the 5km distance.

At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to athletes with outstanding achievements in each distance in 2 categories: male and female.

Accompanying the race, THACO not only wishes to promote local beauty to domestic and foreign friends but also contributes to spreading the spirit of sports and connecting the community.
