Da Nang wants THACO to research and participate in urban railway project

Da Nang City leaders want THACO to participate in researching and investing in the urban railway project connecting Da Nang airport - Hoi An - Chu Lai airport.

Recently, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee had a working session with Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company ( THACO ).

This is also the first working session of key leaders of the new Da Nang city (after the merger of Da Nang and Quang Nam ) with this group.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the group's development over the past time and THACO will be the key group to develop the city's industry.

He proposed that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee identify THACO as a strategic investor in the city's development orientation.

"As a strategic investor, we must have orientations and policies and accompany the group in its development, sharing the group's difficulties. We must clearly identify THACO as the city's strategic partner in its development orientation," he emphasized.

He also set a budget contribution target for the next two years, THACO will contribute to the city budget 25,000 billion (per year) or more.

At the meeting, Mr. Quang mentioned the urban railway project connecting Da Nang airport - Chu Lai, in which phase 1 is from Da Nang airport to Hoi An, he welcomed and invited THACO to participate in the research, as one of the proposed investors.

"Currently, there are two investors who have made proposals. I think this story is fair and public. The city will welcome any enterprise with the capacity. This is one of the city's strategic projects," said Mr. Quang.

It is known that Da Nang is currently promoting the Da Nang - Hoi An - Chu Lai urban railway project with a total length of more than 100km, divided into 2 phases. The urban railway project will be one of the breakthroughs for Da Nang in the new era.
