According to the Bangkok Post, the director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Associate Professor, Dr. Chanchai Sittipunt, said that five of these robots, called Mr SAM, will begin to be deployed from March this year.

The robots will take on some of the tasks involved in checking in as they are equipped with cameras to assist with the check-in process and can also provide basic information about the hospital.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor, Dr. Kornkiat Sanitwong, Deputy Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, assessed that robots play an increasingly important role in daily life, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to helping reduce the risk of infection and reduce the workload of medical staff and doctors.
