This group initially had more than 70 members, then increased to more than 90 members. Members continuously shared success stories about selling, marketing dairy products and earning high profits, building trust for new members in the group.

On June 3, the account “Hien” sent Ms. Ng. a link to set up the milk company’s personal page. At noon on June 4, Ms. Ng. began participating in the marketing program. At around 9:00 a.m. the same day, Ms. Ng. deposited 100,000 VND. By 1:00 p.m., the amount of 150,000 VND was reported to the account on the personal page and Ms. Ng. successfully withdrew it to her bank card.

On the same afternoon, Ms. Ng. continued to deposit 500,000 VND and withdrew 650,000 VND. The "fake" profit gradually strengthened her confidence and at around 5:00 p.m. on June 4, Ms. Ng. was instructed to deposit 10 million VND. About 30 minutes later, her personal account suddenly reported a balance of up to 200 million VND. However, to withdraw this amount, the system required her to deposit an additional 46 million VND "to activate the prize claim file comparison". Ms. Ng. said that the system announced that it would "lock the prize payment" at 8:00 p.m. on the same day.

Being pressured and constantly encouraged by the “consultants” in the group, including one “consultant” who promised to lend Ms. Ng. 10 million VND. Therefore, Ms. Ng. borrowed money to deposit another 36 million VND at 19:59, just seconds before the reward payment was locked. In total, Ms. Ng. lost 46 million VND in less than two days.

After Ms. Ng. paid the full amount of 46 million VND, the system continuously reported an error: "The money transfer response to the activation content is unclear, causing the system to not be able to read the content and not activate successfully." Contacting the "consultants" was unsuccessful, Ms. Ng. realized that she had fallen into a scam. On the afternoon of June 6, Ms. Ng. sent a complaint to the Quang Tri Provincial Police and the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention via post , hoping that the authorities would investigate and help.

Ms. Ng.T.Ng. is in a difficult situation because she is visually impaired and is a single mother raising a young child to go to school. Through this incident, people need to be extremely vigilant, carefully research information and should not believe in easy money-making invitations on social networks to avoid being scammed.
