Visit and give gifts to Khmer pagodas on the occasion of Sen Dolta festival

On the occasion of the Sen Dolta festival of the Khmer people, on the afternoon of September 23, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai visited and presented gifts at a number of Khmer pagodas in the province.

Accordingly, the delegation visited and presented gifts at Rach Giong Pagoda, Ho Thi Ky Commune; Cao Dan Pagoda and Dau Nai Pagoda, Tan Loc Commune.

At the destinations, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai informed about the socio -economic development situation of the province and the implementation of the 2-level local government model in the past time; at the same time, he hoped that monks, nuns and Khmer ethnic people would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to promoting the spirit of great national unity, building the homeland increasingly prosperous.

On the occasion of Sen Dolta festival, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai wished the monks, the Board of Directors, Buddhists and Khmer people a peaceful, happy and successful holiday in life.

On the same afternoon, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Chu (95 years old, residing in Khanh Binh commune) and visited the pagodas: Rach Cui (Khanh Binh commune), Tam Hiep (Tran Van Thoi commune).

At the family of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Chu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang kindly inquired about her health and expressed deep gratitude for her contributions and sacrifices to the revolutionary cause; at the same time, wished her and her family a happy and warm Sen Dolta festival.

Visiting and congratulating at Rach Cui Pagoda and Tam Hiep Pagoda, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang informed about the general socio-economic development situation of the province in the first 8 months of 2025; at the same time, emphasized that social security policies, production support and care for the material and spiritual life of the Khmer ethnic people continue to be focused on and implemented effectively and practically.

Sen Dolta Festival is one of the three biggest traditional festivals of the Khmer people in the South, along with Chol Chnam Thmay (Khmer New Year) and Ok Om Bok (moon worship).
