One of the key tasks that the Naval Region 1 Command requested units to immediately carry out was to move and anchor all vessels in the area safely; at the same time, take measures to tie and anchor securely. Housing areas, warehouses, and barracks were also reinforced and carefully secured with sandbags and ropes to ensure they would not be damaged by strong winds.
Brigade 147 maintains 100% of its troops on standby to respond to storm No. 9.
Along with that, the work of dredging water flows, sewers and ditches is also being urgently carried out by the units to minimize flooding in the military areas.
Besides, Naval Region 1 also actively supports local people in storm prevention work.
On the same day, officers and soldiers coordinated closely with local authorities to help people reinforce their houses, boats and aquaculture cages. Many households were assisted in harvesting fish and aquatic products in time, avoiding major damage that could be caused by the storm.
